Boutique Stays was established in 2006 driven by an inspiration to provide more homely accommodation for business travellers following multiple stays in bland hotel rooms by the founding director, Bev Constable. Being able to relax in a lounge room, cook up a meal, soak into a bathtub, or get some fresh air in the courtyard - these features seemed so unachievable in the standard hotel accommodation and were only experienced when travelling to leisure destinations or when arriving safely home. Surely she thought, other people yearned for somewhere that felt like home when travelling for business, and Boutique Stays was born.

Bev soon came to realise that the needs from travellers were much larger than expected - demand extended into the leisure market, and there was also a huge requirement for beautifully presented, pet friendly homes for people who travelled for business or leisure with their furry best friends. 

The business evolved to cater to these growing needs and now specialise in providing short to medium term accommodation for corporate relocations, business travellers, those temporarily out of home while building, renovating, or getting insurance works completed. Boutique Stays now manages over 60 hand-selected properties in the most iconic and popular neighbourhoods in and around Melbourne.

Early in 2019, the business was acquired by A Perfect Stay, a short-term property management company with similar values, the same high level of customer focus and a national portfolio. Boutique Stays has kept the same great brand, the same great staff, and the same great office, however now benefits from the support of a national business including more staff, advanced systems, technology, and support.

We are ideal for all kinds of guests wanting the perfect home away from home - including families relocating to Melbourne, corporate guests in Melbourne temporarily for work projects, and couples or families enjoying a holiday in Melbourne.

Our homes and apartments provide so much more than a hotel room or standard serviced apartment. Many of our properties have courtyards or balconies providing BBQ’s and relaxing outdoor spaces. Our kitchens are all fully supplied with cooking utensils, and the range of pots and pans that you would normally expect in your own home. And of course, all our properties are individually styled and uniquely appealing.

Our goal is to exceed guest expectations! When a guest walks in the door of a Boutique Stays property, we want them to feel immediately welcome and at home. We regularly receive compliments from our guests on ‘having thought of everything’.

Our properties are located in normal residential streets ensuring peace and quiet for guests and an opportunity to feel part of the community. We include regular servicing so that guest’s still feel looked after, but do not have to contend with hotel style daily servicing which inhibits privacy.

Our rates are inclusive of monthly servicing for stays of 28+ days (additional service cleans can be added to bookings of less than 28 days for additional fees), broadband internet, local calls (for most properties) and a range of household grocery items to make a guest’s stay more comfortable. We do not charge extra for these necessities as we are committed to inclusive pricing and value for money.

Whilst we do represent individual homes and apartments, we have consistent cleaning and maintenance standards for all properties. This ensures quality is consistent and maintained to a high level across all our properties.

For your convenience, when our office is closed we also have one of our management team on call for our in-house guests in the case of any emergencies.
