The best way of getting around Melbourne is on foot and using the city's excellent public transport system. The tram and train network is convenient, easy to use and will take you wherever you need to go. All of our Boutique Stays homes are close to public transport for convenience.

Myki

Pick up a Transport Pack from a Visitor Information Centre and simply hop on trains, trams and buses as you wish. If you're staying a little longer, pick up a Myki travel card- your ticket around the city and regional Victoria. These can be purchased from 7Eleven stores and selected outlets across the city. Simply top up your Myki online or at your nearest train station.

Tram

Melbourne's tram network stretches far into the leafy neighbourhoods from the city centre. You can jump on and off on any tram and with your Myki for a small fee. Experience a classic tram ride on the City Circle Tram, which is a loop around the CBD and passes by many of the city's attractions. You can now also hop on any city tram within the Free Tram Zone free of charge.

Train

The city's train network is convenient, easy to use and will take you wherever you need to go within the city and further afield. Just simply tap on and off with your Myki. Timetables and routes can be found on www.ptv.vic.gov.au or download the Public Transport Victoria App.

Bus

Buses will get you anywhere in Melbourne that trains and trams don't reach. Coaches operate on the main thoroughfares and most train stations for easy connections beyond the train network. Timetables and routes can be found on the Public Transport Victoria website.

Airports

Melbourne has two airports. Tullamarine Airport has international and domestic services (about 30 mins drive from the CBD) and Avalon Airport offers handy domestic flights (40 mins drive from the city). The Skybus express shuttle service will get you from Tullamarine Airport to the city.
